Recalls are a well-established global practice; from time to time they are announced by almost all manufacturers of not only cars, but also any other industrial products. But since a car is considered a source of increased danger, it is recalls in the automotive industry that attract the most attention and cause the greatest resonance. Check if your car is covered by a recall campaign. Sometimes manufacturers will recall their cars because of substandard parts or workmanship and repair them for free, regardless of the warranty. This is called a recall campaign. More information on 2006 Maserati QUATTROPORTE recalls can be found in this database. It may be useful to use online problems resource that shows automotive defect patterns, based on complaint data submitted by vehicle owners. The problems are organized into groups with data published by vehicle, component, and specific issue. See also an updated list of 2006 Maserati QUATTROPORTE problems before buying a used car. In most cases, the recall is initiated by the manufacturer. But it also happens that it is forced to do so. The largest and most scandalous recall campaigns were those that were initiated by complaints and lawsuits from consumers through controlling state structures.

Additional Description: 2006 Maserati Quattroporte (Please note: If you happen to be viewing this 2006 Maserati Quattroporte on a website other than our Garage Kept Motors site, it's possible that you've only seen some of our many photographs of this vehicle due to website limitations. To be sure you access all the more than 90 photographs, a short walk-around-and-startup video, and a link to its low-mileage Carfax report, please go to our main website: GarageKeptMotors.) "...more elegance and poise than any comparable Audi, BMW or Mercedes plus... a sportier personality than any of that Teutonic triumvirate." ClassicMotoring, June 2014 The above-quoted review went on: "(The) Ferrari-derived V8 engine is sublime. It sounds fantastic... and despite the car's two-ton weight, it hustles along extremely impressively...." And: "There's few cars of any class that sound more inspiring than a hard pressed Quattroporte, and certainly no four-door saloon. However, the thrills aren't limited to aural delights. With the rear mounted transmission giving the chassis a 47-53 front-to-rear weight bias, the Quattroporte is one of the best handling saloons at any price." ClassicMotoring wasn't the only publication taken with the Maserati Quattroporte. European-based Autocar described it: "... as an Italian BMW M5 with style to spare." Both magazines waxed eloquent about the exterior and interior styling and features of the Maserati. Rather than quote their comments, it's easier to just behold one of these fine Italian automobiles. Case in point, the 2006 Maserati Quattroporte offered here in Grigio Alfieri Metallic over light caramel leather. This is a well-maintained automobile with only two owners since new, and showing 76,000 miles (just over 5,500 miles per-year on average) over the car's life. The Carfax report (linked at the GarageKeptMotors site) shows dealer-performed maintenance, and two instances of minor damage, both professionally repaired with no visual sign remaining. The exterior "Grigio" (gray) metallic paint is evenly smooth and consistent in its shine. Glass, chrome, and nine-spoke alloy wheels are virtually flawless. The handsome Maserati (and pininfarina) emblems are all intact and undamaged. Inside, the often-overused term "sumptuous" applies. Not only is the leather beautiful in appearance, its condition is exemplary. Italian design touches such as the layout and stitching on the door panels, the tastefully restrained use of wood veneer on the dashboard and steering wheel, and the handsome analog clock are as attractive as they are timeless. Paddle shifters located behind the steering wheel capture the sporty character of the car, as do the Maserati-branded instruments and the purposeful dash-mounted controls. In all, it's hard to imagine this Maserati ever feeling dated. Under the hood, the Ferrari-derived 4.2-liter V8 engine shows off Ferrari's characteristic red valve covers in a simply laid out bay. The car's undercarriage is both complete and undamaged exhibiting few signs of wear. The condition of this fine automobile is faithfully presented from every angle (including from below) in the more than 90 high-definition photographs and the short walk-around-and-startup video available at the GarageKeptMotors site. That said, we always encourage in-person, up-close inspections by interested parties at our Grand Rapids, Michigan showroom. We ask only that advance appointments be made by phone or email so that we can devote our full attention to our visitors and the Maserati. Ending its review, ClassicMotoring wondered: "The question is who needs a Ferrari?" Good question.
